MIPS Deadline Extended

We understand this is not your primary priority right now, but want to make you aware of some changes to MIPS performance year 2019 that might impact you.

MIPS Filing Deadline Extended Due to COVID-19, CMS extended the MIPS reporting deadline to April 30, 2020
Penalty waived for non-submitters
and claims-only submitters
If you submit no data or only claims data for 2019, you will automatically receive a neutral payment adjustment in 2021
If you submit any data through the QPP Portal (Improvement Activities, Quality, or Promoting Interoperability data) and you have not met the minimum threshold (30 points), you will receive a negative payment adjustment in 2021

We are here to support you

About the deadline extension

On March 22, 2020, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced unprecedented relief for the clinicians, providers, and facilities participating in Medicare quality reporting programs including the 1.2 million clinicians in the Quality Payment Program and on the front lines of America’s fight against the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
